Event details

Presenter Kathy G. Short, Director of Worlds of Words, Professor of Language, Reading & Culture at The University of Arizona and Past President of the National Council of Teachers of English will share research and effective practices for identifying different aspects of student understanding of interculturalism and working with students to examine where they are in their development of intercultural perspectives.

Kathy will also present her findings of global and multicultural literature, looking at the trends and issues in the availability of these books and how to critically examine issues of accuracy, authenticity and representation.
